Why do you all say a light eye color is the ideal?

I thought that deep eye colors were the ideal. Like deep blue or green.
Can someone explain it to me?

If you are 15 feet away, Dark blue, dark green, brown all look the same. They all look like black or too dark to even notice. Light eyes are always apparent. They also provide even more contrast, as light blue eyes and jet black eyebrows will be more striking and attractive than dark blue eyes and jet black brows. Although the difference between Light coloured eyes vs dark coloured eyes is less influential on attractiveness than that of Coloured eyes in general vs brown/black eyes.
