Why do you think that social media only inflated women's SMV and decreased men's SMV?

I think it's by nature; women are hypergamous, and men just want to procreate.
But it seems very strange that men made tech and social media, but it benefits women

When modernity makes the role of providing more useless than ever, it's kinda inevitable.
That being said, it's not as deep as it seems imo
