has anyone lost weight after being, skinny fat, not obese, just chubby/kinda fat.

and when you lose weight, all your friends saying "you were such a fat fuck dude ages ago"

idk, but my friends said this sort of stuff to me about a year after i started going to the gym and it makes me feel horrible about myself

why do they do this

maybe, but it still doesn't make me feel good about myself, i don't know why, because im nothing close to fat now, even still, just puts a pit in my stomach.

I don't think I have ever had my friends even comment on my looks no matter my looks (I was both fat and kind gl in my life) so idc. You should know your own friends the best tbh hopefully they are only teasting a bit and if it bothers you when they joke about that just tell them to stop. If they don't respect your request and keep fucking with you then act accordingly (stand up for yourself and fight back).

Hopefully you are not one of those guys that just soys out over 1 small comment, if thats the case just man up and tease your friends back, but if it's legit anoying / all the time then tell them to stop.

first of all theyre complimenting you in a bro way, not making fun of you. Second of all when I was a kid I used to make fun of my fat friend and I legit thought he thought it was funny until he told me it hurt his feelings so regardless they dont mean anything bad by it most likely

they say this out of jealousy, knowing that you are better then them in some type of way, it’s an attempt to put you down indirectly by reminding u of ur past

If you are not usually a complainer no one will bat an eye, don't worry. I remember one time my I joked about my friend going to a psychiatrist in the past around the boys, he pulled me to the side later and told me "pls don't talk about that I don't like to be reminded of that part of my life". I just apologized and was like yea man sorry and never mentioned it again. We all have something like that, if it hurts you it's find to ask your friends to not do it. Pretending like your fine with it will do more harm then good 4 you and your friendship, because the friends may get the impresion that you are ok with that form of teasing and make it a running gag thinking you don't mind/care.
