I’ve cared a lot about what people think of me since I was a very young kid unfortunately, in hindsight it’s held me back a lot. I don’t think it’s as simple as just ‘stop caring’, at least not for me

I do think this is good advice, bookmarked, I always get very caught up in how I’m perceived. It’s always been an issue for me, even at like 8 years old I’d be embarrassed to do fun kid stuff for fear of being judged by older kids or whatever which is sad looking back at it; I’d say I had a pretty decent childhood overall but my mindset held me back from enjoying some things sometimes.
