I drink it because I associate it with the feeling of fun and being drunk. Just like tattoos hurt but I associate it with art and looking good so it doesn’t hurt as much

Because it's literally toxic.

It's just that we all had been brainwashed that it's cool and acceptable to drink even though drinking excess alcohol can cause poisoning and throwing up, waking up feeling like shit or, in worst case, literally dying from poison. Your sense of taste and smell are literally telling you to stay away from that shit.

You need to be severely brainwashed to drink alcohol and think that you are "enjoying it".
