Also you might have some worries about your future. And the substances numb that too.

I never got into drugs or alcohol I had to experience my negative emotions full blast. But now they’ve since subsided to roughly half the strength.

No I disagree with that.
You get an enjoyable feeling of alcohol. Kind of warm and drowsy. I don’t think you’d enjoy absolutely nothing.

Also,
Feeling nothing isn’t the same as being dead. There’s still a logic aspect behind it.
