Why does dry hair look worse

When my hair is dry it looks undefined and bad quality

Then I put in some argan oil or conditioner and it suddenly looks super healthy and wavy

Why does dry hair look so much worse than hydrated hair?

it is not difficult to understand the hair has no texture because it is dry without oil and moisture. when it's a little greasy, they have a certain sheen or texture.

Yeah same for me, this was when i had long hair in the past

Evolutionary advantage for hot climates, frizzy wool like hair protects the scalp from very high uv radiation which can cause sun shock
