It’s easier to pin blame on the GM/manager than to blame the star players making bank. Even if there are deeper problems. Scapegoating the manager helps the media storm settle down and lets people (fans) think change is coming…

Player worship, they (clubs, businesses) lose money if a star player is unpopular but if the manager is unpopular there's no money loss, all to do with shirt sales etc, and I guess the average person for them it's easier to blame one person

Usually I would agree but this time it actually was the managers fault , he went park the bus and brought a defender on as soon as we went 1-0 up , invited pressure for 15-20 mins and surprisingly we lost .

I think there actually might be because sometimes it glitches momentarily and you can see the posts, I came across this myself recently and seen/heard other people say this too. But @Jason Voorhees in for answer.

In this case i kinda understand why, because the manager made a very controversial decision when england had the lead resulting in a loss.

He made a decision so unconventional, no one else wouldve agreed with it. To just completely give up on scoring goals or have space on the pitch, and go defensive.
