Depends on country imo, tan is the wave in the US but in many countries in the east they will do life threatening procedures just to get the whitest skin as possible. Also sometimes white skin looks good, look at the dudes in twilight (no homo)

Some people of Irish/English descent naturally have this. It can look really good if you’re in proper health but blemishes and overall health show up on it very easily. It can either turn very sickly Grey or turn really flushed and red from rosacea if your lifestyle is shit.

Pale skin with lack of undertone specially is a sign anemia, even though I’m dark skinned I had anemia at want point and that sort of “glow” normal skin has was lost

pale skin is ideal for females because it conveys a feeling of sickliness/ meekness that you can take care of them (of course not everybody prefers pale skin on females). but obviously it's bad for us men especially if we are trying to look more dominant.
