why would he make us, especially if he already knows whats going to happen.

give us free will, but punish us with eternal punishment when we use it.

The whole idea is making me feel lives my lifes purpose is to entertain god's bordem.

Why do we need to exist, and why does god exist (assuming hes real)?

Well you should stop sinning and give your life to God so it has a purpose.
give proof of gods existance first, then prove which type of god is real, then prove which interpretation of the type is right.

it literally is free will

that's like saying if i punched you in the face, it wasn't free will because you didn't choose to be punched
Free will is the ability to make your own choices, and be able to control your actions. There’s no action you can do thats gonna give you cancer, cancer is given to you no matter your choices, you proved my point with the punched argument

all for not beleiving in him
if an 'innocent' person were to die in a natural disaster, then assuming god exists, the natural disaster was not created by god

how did i prove your point with the punching argument? explain
and your definition does not disprove that cancer isn't ultimately caused by free will

how is getting cancer free will? i never met someone who decided on there own that they wanted cancer
do you agree that if i punched you in the face, then that is ultimately a result of free will?

if so, you'd be forced to agree that cancer is also ultimately a result of free will

Free will is the ability to dictate your actions correct? Who dictated for a little kid to have cancer?

god commanded the natural disasters were children who were unknowledgeable and innocent suffered

you punching me in the face is free will, you didnt have to punch me. cancer isn't though (at least at the moment) no one chooses to get cancer, but someone chooses to punch me.

dude, what are you talking about. free will doesn't mean you can control everything done to you. you can control your own actions but not other peoples'; that would literally be a contradiction to free will.

someone's actions ultimately led to you getting cancer. they may not have intended it, but it was caused by their actions. this is analogous to someone punching you in the face
Free will is the ability to dictate your actions correct? Who dictated for a little kid to have cancer?
their ancestors, of course.

cancer is not a "natural" disease, it didn't just spawn from the dawn of time. it was unintendedly created by humans. there was no such thing as cancer 500 thousand years ago

then how do you explain the diseases that occured from nature? It has to originate from something, why would a all loving god create illnesses if he knows how much it would make people suffer.

you have to remember that people dying in natural disasters are also ultimately a result of free will as crazy as it sounds

im not saying that the natural disaster itself is free will, that would be stupid. but people dying from natural disasters are from the unfortunate circumstances of their free will

im probably not going to be able to reply to your next response since im in class rn and my laptop is 4%. we had a good discussion tho

So your saying you getting cancer is someone else’s fault :lul: thats not free will then, if everyone had free will, I’d get rid of cancer, but I can’t because I don’t have free will

are you purposely being disingenuous lol. free will doesn't mean you literally have the will to do anything in the universe. all it means is that you have the ability to make choices and control your own actions

mewing_god69 has a point about the demiurge. it's a simpler explanation for evil than trying to twist free will into everything.

Why did the greek gods exist? Why did norse paganism exist? for the same reason Christianity exists, its a coping mechanism. I still respect the hell out of it though.

I mean, comparing a god to a human is not that different from comparing a human to an ant. An ant doesn’t know a human’s motives because it lacks the sentience and intelligence of a human.

I’m not religious so I can’t really answer your question from a religious standpoint
