why does it look like my mouth area protrudes forward too much on one side?

On the left side of my face only, it seems like my mouth area protrudes too far forward. This makes it look like I'm recessed. Also, on this very same side but not on the right side, my actual jaw line isn't very defined. I have a very projected maxilla but the features described above make me unattractive I believe. Any thoughts on what can be done, without me posting pics?

you see, take a look at Barrett. See the part connecting his chin to his lower mouth. Picture that part being longer (thus sloping down more) and then the chin starting lower on that part, my chin is angled down and ends behind my mouth unlike those 2.
