why does it seem the height obsession thing a few years ago was a trend?

i remember a few years ago height was basically the ultimate factor in deciding your looks. social media was filled with women thirsting for mediocre tall men

there was entire comps dedicated to tiktoks of women making fun of average height and short men (it mostly seemed like it was american women doing it too)

yet that seems to have died down or mellowed out a bit. don’t get me wrong. height absolutely matters (don’t strawman me) but it seems like the emphasis on height isn’t as important as it once was

ive even seen some tiktoks making fun of women simping for tall men, and chopped tall guys getting mocked for thinking they’re attractive just cause they’re 6ft

Height inflation is also a meme.
No Zoomers are not taller much and no 6 ft barefoot is not manlet
but when 5"11 guys like clav claim 6"2 and 5"7 claim 5"10 then ofc girls say 6"5-7.
Best height to be is 21cm above your countrys avg height.
