Why does my facial redness change so much?

I got the redness/pinkness from previous acne, but it looks like i have rosacea or smth when its at its worst

Sometimes its barely visible and other times its really red. It can literally go like an hour and it will be worse/better

Its not just lighting either, i checked same lighting like an hour later and it was a huge difference

It can be several days when its the same color and then suddenly it gets red for like a few hours

What are reasons redness changes so much?

Im on accutane (doubt it matters)

Things such as washing face and applying moisturizer also makes my face more red for like 5-10 minutes
