Why does my hair change from straight to wavy?

If I comb my hair left it becomes straight. But if comb my hair right it gets more volume and becomes wavy or curly.

it's used to being slightly curved to the left (why it looks straight when it's brushed that way) so when you push it to the right its natural curve is the wrong way around

Use extra conditioner and blow dry downwards with a comb continuously. Or heat up your palm
