Why does my mom keep telling random people I have autism?

It's this 100% op - she tells people so when you do dumb shit (just acting non NT is enough) people blame it on autism, not her parenting. She's afraid that if she doesen't tell people, they will think you are this way because you were abused at home, or that it's her fault somehow (which it is, since shes 50, your 20 something, meaning she had you quite late in life)

My dad and brother literally used to do this, not so much now that i descended, but when i was in my prime. Mom however is the opposite, praises me a lot when around other people, but kind of berates me when in private. Such a weird family, maybe being Russian its normal
