Why does no one talk about Elastin?

Collagen this, collagen that. Elastin is what makes the skin tight, lifted, and formed well to your bones. Is it a situation where the exact same things that promote or degrade collagen, also promote or degrade Elastin? Or does no one know?

So how to increase it

I haven't seen any well-backed claims for collagen preservation/restoration, so I doubt elastin is a different scenario.

What? There's nearly infinite studies on like, dozens of things that promote collagen in the skin

Topical retinoids, topical and Oral vitamin c, microneedling, cardiovascular exercise, Glycine supplementation, oral msm intake, silica intake, red light therapy, I could go on but dude what? You're taking the weirdest stance rn

Glycine and vitamin C are already part of an optimal diet. I've never looked into silica/MSM but I'm assuming they need to be supplemented.

Topical retinoids and red light therapy, in addition to the other points mentioned, would require a very lengthy study model (decades), controlling for many factors, to observe their "anti-aging" effects.

I get where you're coming from, and I'm also of the mind that everything that can be obtained through diet should be. The vast majority of shit can be, but

Optimal Glycine levels can't be obtained from food consumption, even at 300g protein a day

Oral Vitamin C is great, but it doesn't have the same qualities as topical Vitamin C when it comes to skin outcomes

MSM/silica need to be supplemented yeah. Great for skin and hair

Retinoids and red light therapy are already conclusively proven to work. "Anti aging," is your phrase, I never used it. Obviously you can't actually age backwards. But these things are proven to increase skin collagen, and reduce visible signs of aging on the skin
