why does raw liver taste better than cooked liver?

I dislike liver in general but in the very few times I've eaten it, raw or cooked, raw live for some reason tastes better than cooked

Is there like some reason why cooked liver takes away some flavor??

When you cook liver the sweet and nice taste of the high quality good liver is destroyed. I hate cooked liver sooo much
