Because he's 80 years old and starting to shrink and shrivel up, also he's giga short. He also has a flat occiput which decreases the length of his cranium from a side view. If you swap places and give him a normal sized occiput then the differences are a lot less notable. (shit edit but I'm not putting effort into making it look natural)
