Why doesn't everyone get SEGMENTAL LEFORT 1 instead of REGULAR LEFORT 1?

TITLE? Will literally widen your palate way more. Does it widen the nose even more than regular LeFort 1? If so then I would understand. Just don't understand cause rn it seems like just regular LeFort 1 but superior.

It does seem to widen nose more. In some cases needs orthodontics, also increases risk of surgery. Some people don't need wider palate.

2. You're right, but most people get orthodontics in preparation for jaw surgery anyways
