Why dont humans settle the religion argument once and for all

What could be more important than figuring out who our creator truly is once and for all? There's so many religious debates you can find online, there have been countless conflicts and arguments over the topic of religion throughout history yet the world is still split into Christians, Muslims, Buddhists etc. So who's right? Why doesn't humanity settle this question? Why don't the governments get involved?

There's so much historical evidence, someone just needs to compile and fact check all of it, get top tier debaters and historians involved or some shit.

I don't understand why is it up to me to choose which faith should I follow when its something that literally decides my entire fate, possibly even in my afterlife. People need to be guided by someone. But agnostics, atheists, Christians, Muslims, everyones pushing their own agenda, yet theres only one right answer. This question should be solved on an international level, or at least people need to be given more unbiased insight on the topic of religion

Or rather theres just no God and this facade is convenient for the elites

Just too many coincidences with how religions are made or shared. Who knows what religions were made for but I do not think they were made for truth.
