I used to do like 20-30 failure sets per muscle group in a week and could do some training at home just for fun and could train every day with no issues even when I was anaemic
Now after I gained muaxle mass and strength I find myself struggling each set to failure and my volume has lowered like 2-fold. I am also very fatigued by the end of a workout and can hardly do most of the sets to failure. And I am not even anaemic anymore. I rest 2-5 minutes between sets whereas I used to rest like 1 minute
I think that as soon as one acquires decent muscle mass its more difficult for them to recover and they need less training volume

As some one with a decent physique and some training knowledge ( feel free to check in my profile ) I believe I can help .

Firstly the main problem is , you are probably not going to failure, 20-30 sets per muscle group is a lot of volume and unless you roidmax , you just can’t go to failure that often . Reduce your volume

2) The reason you feel fatigue now even though aren’t anaemic anymore is because that fatigue builds up and over loads your central nervous system overtime if you don’t get appropriate rest . Rest days are important , 1 rest day a week as a noob is good but as you get advanced aim for 2 per week . If you are training very hard and intensely , trust me you’ll need the rest days .

3) How is your sleep and nutrition , good pre workout meals are critical for good performance in gym.

most likely sleep or nutriton is lacking. Remember as you get bigger the demand for those also increases

I have exactly the same thing.

I have had it according to antibodies test but it has gone away without any symptoms

My work capacity dropped horribly at some point between mid 2021 and early 2022 which also coincides with when I first had COVID.

I used to be able to do 5 sets to failure at virtually the same weight/reps, now the first set is the same weight/reps so my peak strength is similar but the weight/reps of the subsequent sets fall off a cliff.

How can you hardly do most sets to failure? That doesn't make any sense. The only thing that can force you to stop a set is failure, in which case you have gone to failure.

Anyway, you shouldn't be doing 30 sets to failure per body part. That's retarded. Just follow a tried and true routine.
