Why don't we have a cure for manletism yet?

Hundred of labs throughout the world started to work on Coronavirus vaccines and cures and they achieved amazing results in a very short period of time. It takes years or even decades for a viable vaccine to be discovered or approved, but in this case when humanity's greatest minds focused on a single goal, the solution seems to be very close...
Why don't they do the same thing for other problems that plague mankind instead of spreading our focus and money on tons of issues and diseases, I propose that all scientific labs and researchers should concentrate for the next year or so on curing manletism and finding as many ways as possible for increasing height. Next thing on the list should be baldness and after that the labs can get back to discovering the cure for cancer, AIDS, Alzheimer or whatever they are working on now, I mean these diseases won't go anywhere...

That's one way, but it's a very traumatic, risky method, we need other methods that are safer, quicker and cheaper.

Because it's not a viral virus that kills people

It kills you socially, it takes away your chances of finding a partner and spreading your genes. For this reason, shorter people either isolate themselves, and stop becoming productive members for the society, or they start a life of crime, manletism affects society as a whole in a very insidious way.
