No sin is finite due to it being committed against an infinite being, God. Meaning the punishment for that sin must be infinite to fit the sin. Either way the common depiction of hell doesnt match the biblical description. Which simply describes it as separation from Gods love. There is described to be maggots in hell, which feed off dead bodies. The only way there can be dead bodies is if the people in hell do not "live" forever. It is just separation from Gods love. Keep in mind God is ultimate moral goodness, without him there is no good.

You, yourself, came to the conclusion that life is fruitless, and meaningless. That is not an objective statement. To say God created the world that way because you view it as such doesn't mean it was created that way. The world was created flawlessly then us as humans decided to sin, bringing the punishment of a flawed world onto us.
When you chose to feed your flesh worldy things it begins to desire those things. All desire begins with an action that must be a choice. We ourselves decide to sin, give in to flesh, we send ourselves to hell. God never denies his love, it is always available and down to your choice. Basically what I'm trying to say is people choose hell, instead of Gods love.
