If they are well off enough and they force you to work because muh you need to earn money yourself, they are assholes. The whole point of being a parent is to use your resources to help your kids be the best they can be. The most successful people in this world were born rich. They have the best lives and parents actually think by restricting what they give their kids they're doing some honourable thing? They think that by making you earn money yourself you are evolving by suffering or something. You can literally evolve even faster if you have money in the first place. You can still suffer if you have money because you can pursue your goals and fail. They are literally abusing you if they would rather save money or make you suffer than help you out. By making you waste months or even years to earn money they could give you on the spot, they are wasting your life. Negotiate with your parents that you wont work and that they should give you money because its your right.

We live in first world countries. When we are young we don't have to provide for ourselves, we are supposed to do what we want. If that right is taken thats literally abuse.

i dont give a fuck about when im older. I only care about my life pre 26 or so. I wasnt saying your parents should give everything to you just that if you need say surgeries or you want to pursue big goals and they dont give you money theyre being abusive. Jfl at them forcing you to waste precious years of youth.

Hmm, now I understand what you mean and this is true, if all you need to ascend and enjoy your primes years is a surgery then they are being petty, cause the peak of life our lives is 14~26
