I feel like that too and always have regarding it, but plenty are at the stage of hatred rather than self-loathing and they understand they won’t be loved, given up, and consequently decide to rape, almost as a punishment in vengeance. I can understand the logic behind it.

They can't get off without some kind of violence bevause of childhood trauma
