Anyone who knows his back-story will have reason to respect and admire him. He is an authentic entrepreneur who is really driven by his vision and desire to innovate and improve the human species, not by a desire to enrich himself.
He made a fortune selling Zip2 in 1999 and then PayPal (which he co-founded) in 2002. He could have spent the rest of his life buying sports cars and chilling on exotic beaches with models hanging off his dick. Instead, he re-invested his earnings into super risky, capital intensive, and overall ludicrous businesses with the earnest goal of improving humanity.
He founded SpaceX, a giga capital intensive and risky business, in the early 2000s to try to revive space exploration in order to one day colonize Mars and make humanity an inter-planetary species. The benefits of space exploration include planetary redundancy, acquisition of useful and rare materials, scientific research etc. In the shorter term, SpaceX is poised to revolutionize the internet with Starlink and scale down the cost of launching satellites and getting materials into space in the years to come.
He also took control of Tesla in the early 2000s aiming to electrify automobiles to help humanity transition towards clean energy sources. He entered one of the most capital intensive and competitive businesses in the world and completely disrupted it. Tesla is the leading OEM of electric cars and also sells cutting edge solar panels, indicating its desire to electrify multiple forms of energy consumption (not just cars)
Musk is also fighting back against our woke tech overlords who have sought to censure non-liberal opinions and brainwash people on major social media platforms. He has done this despite massive financial and reputational cost to himself.
Beyond this he is juggling multiple other promising businesses. The guy works non-stop and doesn't flex his wealth. He lives a rather modest and low-key lifestyle. People who talk shit about him are jealous dorks.
He is a based chad.
