why everyone treats me like a kid

i’m a grown man but for some reason i feel like a kid near everyone and i can’t tell if they treat me like one or if i’m paranoid

i was painting the walls and the security walked in he was like “ah, already a painter now huh?” and gave a laugh. personally, i feel like that’s something you say to a kid, you see them drawing for example and you jokingly say “oh so you’re an artist now? haha”

idk, is it just all in my head

my only guess is because i’m drastically younger than everyone here although being an adult myself
