So this happened like a month ago or something like that.
I met this girl through my brother. She was really beautiful, but I didn’t talk to her when I first saw her. The next day, she asked my brother to give her my Snapchat, so basically she was interested in me first, which was great.
We genuinely hit it off, talking on the phone, going on dates, and stuff like that. Then after about a week, she started acting weird and distant, and that’s when I knew, like, “GG, it’s over.”
So she called me and said, “Well, you know, with work, friends, school, and everything, plus you, it’s just really stressful. I think you’re a great guy, and we should remain friends. I wouldn’t want to lose contact with you.”
I replied, “First of all, I don’t need new friends. I have enough. And after all the dates, the flowers, the cuddling, and the kissing, you just give up?”
And mind you guys, I asked her multiple times to be open and honest with me. I told her to let me know if I was doing something she didn’t like or if there was anything bothering her, but she never said anything.
It just feels like even if you do everything right, or even go above and beyond, some people still won’t be satisfied. But if you only give the bare minimum and make them feel like they’re replaceable, that’s when they want to stay with you.
