There is something about covering your forehead with hair that makes you look younger as a male
Even tho this applies to youngcels who look young regardless, I have an explanation for why it helps older males also

I notice that signs of aging show on your midface before they show on your forehead
So if you have some slight undereye descension and naso folds, having the contrast of no lines on your forehead makes the undereye and naso descension look more apparent in contrast to a smooth forehead

However when your forehead is covered by your hair, this contrast doesn't exist so the aging on your undereyes and nasos isn't put into perspective so the signs of aging on your face are harder to quantify

I think hair is also associated with youth. Healthy grown out hair looks incredibly youthful.
