In all of @RealSurgerymax bimax cases he uses posterior downgraft.
Like f.e here where patient prob has gummy smile

But isn't anterior impaction better in such cases? Anterior impaction would be def better for facial height shortening, flattening mandibular plane and help making midface looking more compact.
Like with someone whos skeletal structure looks like this

Posterior downgraft wouldn't change that insanely steep plane and entire face that points downwards.

Patient doesn’t have gummy smile

Patient needs facial height

Short face syndrome is ugly

Downgraft is aesthetic

Look at Raffaini results & plans

Would use anterior impacting when needed.

Yeah I know short face syndrome looks bad but when someone has really steep mandibular plane angle anterior impaction will be better choice to flatten it than posterior drop.
that patient doesn't need dramatic flattering by looking at his profile but someone with m.p.a. like this cephalographic drawing.

Or there are other ways to adress this issue that I don't know; I mean you have far bigger knowledge after all.

Because anterior impaction is ONLY indicated for vertical maxillary excess.

Only people like Austin butler would benefit:
