Why GTA 6 will never live up to the hype

Think about the level of hype it reached.
The problem wasnt with rockstar, they did what they could. The problem was fans expectations. Normies just expect shit to be like real life without any awareness of hardware limitations or the years of coding and rendering it takes. Gta 6 could literally never live up to the expectations. Its just a programmed game.

Im not joking when i say this but, if you want gta to its fullest potential, then just be low inhib as fuck irl and do whatever you want

its why i try to lower my expectations and not listen to hype whenever there is a big release, but no matter what, we are prone to indirectly be affected by others opinions. The game is super impressive tbh, for a game, but thats all it is, a game.

What i dislike about gta is they polish a rusty foundation. Their core gameplay mechanics are boring, clunky and repetitive, but their detail, immersion and visuals are beautiful. Its just a game made for normies imo since it doesnt require any skill to aim and shoot or drive. When you polish a game with shit foundations, its not gonna make it any more enjoyable, its just polished shit. I just hope they spent most of their time on creating a fun and rewarding gameplay loop instead of simulating ‘jiggle physics’ and ‘water physics’ nga who gives a fuck about water??

But yeah it's just a game at the end of the day and we are still a decade off true photo realism

Graphics cant improve much from this point on. We are at a point of diminishing returns with graphics. But cpu based and ai systems are just at the beginning of its potential. Thats the exciting thing. Maybe gta 7 will have dynamic non scripted ai npcs, its very possible. I dont think people actually want photorealistic graphics as much as they think, its a nice bonus, but the core fun comes from gameplay mechanics

red dead 2 was in development and covid delayed stuff. pretty sure they only started true development in 2019
