Modeling isn't about straight up beauty. It has suffered profound changes throughout the last 20 years. Back in the 90's modeling was all about having a few select models that would run for you and had a celebrity like following, that's were supermodels come into place. But fashion houses realized like many other businesses that they could save money, supermodels are a bit bratty they need drivers, fine dining and free clothing. So they decided to phase them out gradually and replaced them with more people. But that's not the only reason, brands now showcase more "vibrant" clothes that don't reallt require the model to be attractive they just need good proportions and need to know how to walk. And they also want to be more inclusive and some of these are nepo babies.
