Why hasn't there been a new great scientist ?

In the past we had so many highly intelligent scientists who would come up with great ideas and inventions from time to time but now why can't any country produce great scientists like Newton or Tesla or Einstein ?

Nature of science itself has changed. In the past one person could revolutionize an entire field because the basics were still unexplored but today most breakthroughs happen in extreme
complexity and require massive funding,

Modern Einsteins are in places like Al labs and biotech labs and the company usually gets the credit instead of one person getting all credit.

there are hundreds of em, thousands even. the problem is that now the entire world cares about entertainment so much more than anything else

btw there is a 24 year old who started working at meta superintelligence lab last year after mark zuccerberg personally met him and gave him an offer of $250 million dollars for 4 years

prolly lots of good scientists or smart ngas but dont have the funds to do anything or if their creation is good rich people or government pay them to keep it secret and only available to them

I don’t know, I don’t count them all. I doubt that’s true depending on what u define as “prominent” let alone “scientific”. Lots will just be student slop of discovering/explaining the gay lisp (an actual paper some1 did here at Oxford)
