Where I believe Frank Tufano went wrong…

Frank Tufano underwent 5 procedures 2 years ago, courtesy of DR. Taban in Bev hills.

2 of which are considered medium to low risk, IE: upper and lower blepharoplasty… or in other words ptosis repair and lower eyelid retraction….

2 of which are considered more medium risk especially if going to the wrong doctor, “Taban is usually relatively reputable compared to others” which are Canthoplasty, and Infra implants…

And one, which very much stands out to me, is Orbital Decompression, which is sited as one of the most common ways to get botched when it comes to eye surgery, right up there with trying to “Fix” your IPD which is very very invasive and much more complicated and less researched than even other invasive procedures like Bimax Leforts 1-3

So I figured I’d break down the different procedures he underwent

Upper blepharoplasty “Ptosis correction” is when the skin on the top eyelid is cut to pull it back basically and avoid the droopy ptosis eyelid, essentially the way to fix “Upper eyelid exposure”

Lower blepharoplasty retracts the lower eyelid, and is the way to fix the issue of scleral show, which is the white of your eyes showing below the iris of your eyes..

Canthoplasty basically just alters the canthal tilt for more positively tilted eyes, and a sharper medial and lateral canthus, we see examples of this type of canthus in men like David Gandy, and women like Adriana Lima

Suborbital implants are implants placed below the eye to mimic bone structure which helps with both dark circles, gives a more flat even structure when done right, and can even help with deep set appearance especially when paired with infra implants…

Orbital decompression Is extremely risky, they have to remove tissue and bone from the eye area in order “make room” for the eyes that are bulging… it’s expensive, because it’s extremely invasive and under researched, and rarely performed

However… the real kicker here is the orbital decompression, which is used primarily to fix bulging eyes, Frank Tufano lacked bone structure, which contributes to deep set eyes, but he didn’t need orbital decompression, orbital decompression is for individuals whose eyes are like bulging out centimeters, from their skull, where as Frank Tufano, lacked the bone structure, but the set of his eyes was fine… if he would have done everything he did, but gotten infra implants instead of orbital decompression, I believe he would have been much less botched…

One huge issue here, is that his eyelids on the top were not fixed since he didn’t get Supra implants, and now the eyelids are also deep set, which defeats the purpose of Supra implants or “frauding” deep set eyes

Water is wet thread. It was the orbital decompression that fucked him up.

However, you need to dive deeper than that. Frank Tufano had decompression of the lateral and medial walls. Usually in cosmetic cases, only the lateral wall is operated on, which has a very high success rate, and is the gold standard. Operating on both lateral AND medial walls was the nail in the coffin for Frank Tufano.

Orbital decompression of the lateral wall is acceptable and low-risk.
