new music is boring or sucks

old music makes you feel sth but its painful and reminds you old times

yeah there is some gray zone music that sounds boring

yeah everybody looking young and healthy and full of energy out there

These past years as a student everything I listened was music like lofi to study, I don't don't know the artists because most are indie produced anyways.
But whenever I go outside and a friend tells me to connect my music or something I don't know what to play.

Maybe listen to very emotionally intense music. It can help overcome the force the quality of your current life has in determining it's mood.

black metal

what are some good songs
I hate recommending it because a lot of it is acquired taste or it's just something you have to listen to a few times before it makes sense, but even if I tell someone that, they'll listen to it once and be like "I don't like it." My ex-gf did this for 10 years and she would always end up liking the shit after a while, but would never learn and would always be like "this sucks."

Like a lot of metal builds towards something so just listening to a few seconds doesn't give you the full impression. People are used to listening to pop music which usually is meant to be immediately enjoyable every second, so when they're exposed to something that isn't immediately pleasing or is too complex to like on first listen, they came conclude that it's not for them. Like a lot of my favorite metal I didn't like my first couple or even numerous listens. There's one band, Summoning, that are brilliant but they use all these cheesy synth sounds that can be really off putting at first, but once you accept them it's really good.

Anyway, the most popular "real" metal is probably Opeth, Gojira, Between the Buried and Me, and Mastodon. So maybe start there. Not my favorite though. Maybe these black dudes reacting to Blackwater Park will get you hyped:

Metallica One, a classic:

Some other shit that I like that's a good balance of accessible/good:

That barely even scratches the surface.
