A user asked me Jason why do you put so much effort into your threads. It's simple it's because you guys listen. I love to talk about these are things Im very passionate about, my experiences that I make me nostalgic, reminiscing about both the good times and the hard lessons and also acting as a small diary that I keep coming back to. Irl I'm forced to wear a mask and heavily filter my speech depending on who I'm around. I can't just randomly find someone and started yapping about AI, money, career, looks, or women.
The only person who cares about my yap is my gf. She is the only person irl who enthusiastically listens to whatever I have to say. And then there's online where I can be my most candid, authentic and real self. This community gives me a space to trade superficial small talk for real, unfiltered conversations with people who care to engage. I tag so many people in my threads because I want engagement. want to see if my ideas hold water when exposed to the world, someone to listen, to praise, to criticize, agree or disagree, call me out and debate with what I have to say. Not validation. I'm dieing for an opinion any opinion that's really it.
