This Ballon d’Or is going to be about who has the best story and who has the strongest media campaign.

Even if Yamal had an awful World Cup, the voters know that he’s the greatest young talent in the world, so he’ll still get votes. His incredible start to this season could also play a huge role in the voting.

I also wouldn’t be surprised if Messi wins it, considering the media campaign that Adidas has already started, plus Beckham’s latest post. Some voters might give him votes simply because he’s Messi.

Harry Kane? I don’t know if Bayern are really supporting his campaign. And in Paris, Dembélé and Kvaratskhelia seem to have a more favorable narrative around them.

Rodri only had around six truly great games throughout the whole season. And in recent years, winning the World Cup doesn’t automatically mean winning the Ballon d’Or Leo is the exception.

As for Mbappé, before the World Cup, everyone was basically putting him out of the race and calling him a “dictator.”

That’s why I’m putting Yamal as my pick.

He has the best story: “The kid who is going to take the throne of football and become the youngest Ballon d’Or winner ever.”

In my honest opinion, this Ballon d'Or is really close and can go either way. and there are good cases for everyone.

even though people dislike Mbappe, he has a very strong case. he's the World Cup top scorer, won another Golden Boot, successfully GOT his nation to a semi-final. and had a good individual season with RM. and the highest scorer last season.

but he has yet to win a team trophy. so.

for Lamine Yamal, well, he won the World Cup at 19. but not only that, he completed the most dribbles and take ons out of any player besides Messi, 121 final third passes completed, and so on. for the La Liga, he was the La Liga player of the season, most big chances and chances created, top assist provider, and so on.

for Harry Kane, again, carried his nation to a World Cup semi-final. and was by far the top scorer. but again trophy bias might somewhat limit him.

now you have Messi. carried his nation to a World Cup final, second most goals behind Mbappe, 4 assist, most dribbles completed, most big chances created. all of that at 39 by the way.

and the fact he's Messi, he might win it like you said.

so yeah, this new Ballon d'Or is unpredictable.

Yamals WC is over exaggerated first of all. He made a lot of key chances through dribbling and playmaking but yeah his stats were not good.
If you just look at the stats Harry Kane is the clear nominee for ballon dor. Also this seems like AI
