i used to be jealous af of these life of the party type popular extroverts around me.

But I have never met one with a backbone. That in itself removes all jealousy for me, the way they are overly friendly, accommodating, doing the most for others made it clear their lifestyle was never for me. They gravitate to being liked and many people, I gravitate to solitude, small groups and being a cunt. I can’t imagine caring that much so I just read it as performance based, I still don’t get it.

I feel more masculine, real, and grateful for extremely close but few connections. Sorry im not gonna be a social servant and I’m not gonna pretend to enjoy friendships with women I wish to crack. I can turn on the extroversion when needed but almost always gonna be me bc that’s chillest. A small circle and a best friend who ur their best friend too is ideal and perfect.

social popularity can correlate with good traits but at the same its also always predicated by submissiveness to the group and never holding any beliefs that would cause friction to others because they are too afraid to

I used to be insecure over being diagnosed with autism in my youth but over the years, seeing how normalfags interact and submit to standards and never hold any sincere beliefs of their own, it reinforced my belief that I would rather have my pride and close friends and be ostracized than to submit to trying to be accepted by people I disagree with on everything

Growing up is realizing that popular kids are popular for a reason, good or bad people wanted to be around them.

Growing up is also realizing that the stigma of the “popular kids” only comes from losers that were annoying. Honestly every guy I knew in the popular group in school were really chill but the ap/band/theatre kids were literally the worst and meanest group of people that only hung out with eachother because nobody else wanted too.

Im really not talking about highschool

Like at all

I wouldn’t waste my breath on such an easy stage of life where almost everyone was popular except annoying kids

This is about adulthood and college.

Popular kids don’t really exist past highschool? All it means is that they have more connections.

Stop dude
Im not doing children’s talk here. Idc if you struggle to navigate something as easy as being liked in highschool. Big league talks only.
None of this is about highschool.

I’d say the goal isn’t so much to be popular but more to have popular friends who can get you into their parties, around the girls they hang out with, opportunities start leaking to you too, etc. Even just a little bit of that can be life changing without all the noise of being popular.
