Because they want to feel important. Imagining conspiracy theories where elite cares about them so much that elite wants to poison them with vaccines makes them feel important for once in their life.

elites don't care for anything but money, and if they can make a shit ton of it while pushing untested shit onto a stupid scared population they will do exactly that any day of the week

The fact they’ll often be anything anti-mainstream is most certainly a factor as well.

You do realize that conspiracy is a legal term, right? But be that as it may, the term has been weaponized to such an extent that it has become synonymous with supposed outlandish theories. This is absurd because people get convicted on conspiracy charges every single day.

It’s perfectly possible for a local drug dealer to get convicted on conspiracy charges, it happens all the time. But most people in society view the political class/elite as morally superior to the general public and this is why they scoff at any notion that members of the aforementioned groups could be involved in conspiracies.
Not because they believe that conspiracies don’t exist, but because they subconsciously believe that they are superior to us, the general public.

Think about it, the upper echelons of society actually have the means to get away with conspiracies, far more so than let’s say your local drug dealer or gangster. But according to the average NPC, they would never go down that road. The sheer naivety of this is just incredible.

Well said, they want to feel unique, ie not the same as "normies". They've convinced themselves they have some secret knowledge no one else has
It's pathetic, really

Yep. Being antivax is a sign of psychological distress.
