I dont have any firm data regard this, but it seems like there is a lot, A LOT of indians in looksmaxx community, both directly and indirectly via associated content creators in YT and other social media or general looksmaxxing trend, which is viral now.
Indians are disproportionately represented in this community, which means there is more indians here, than should be statistically taking all things considered, will explain later.
I have couple of theories regard this:
1. Indians have lowest smv on average (with other south-east asians) in the West, which is make them look for solutions, looksmaxx is main one. But indian diaspora is not that big - there is 20-22 mil. of indians in the West total, including females, old peoples, childrens etc. Dont sure if it counts third-generation indian immigrants. but still its quite small number, since total population of the "west" is 1 billion+. So its obvious, that big part, if not most of indians on .org not from the west, but from India, Pakistan, Nepal etc.
2. Indian society is quite.. well, if not patriarchal, then very old-fashioned in some senses. For example, only 20% of 15-64 y.o women in India are working, which mean that they are heavily dependent on mens financial support (betabuxx), in betabuxx society looksmaxing is not that important, but still there is a lot indians. Maybe situation is different in some of indians citys, my fellow brahmans can share their thoughts down bellow.
3. Maybe there is a lot of indians on .org just because.. there is a lot of Indians in general? Well, we can compare India with subsaharan Africa, they have similar level of economic and social development (well, not exactly, but lets think that way for the sake of argument). Around 150-170 mil. of indians speak english, while in subsaharan africa almost 200 mil. of people, who can speak english. And yet i almost never see subsaharan .org users, unlike indians.
4. Maybe main reason - India have big problem with female foetcide. Its more preferable to have male (another sign of patriarchal/agrocultural society) in India, coupled with modern technology (ultrasound sex determination, medical abortion) it leads to huge male-female disproportion. Usually, there is 1.03-1.06 boys born on 1 girl, while in India there is 1.1 boy on every 1 girl, mathematically speaking at least 10% of male population will be alone in reproductive age. In some of regions, like Kashmir, this ratio is even crazier - up to 1.2 boys per 1 girl (people say, if there is a lot of boys are born - war will come, well..). in such a situation, "mathematically superfluous" men are forced to increase their chances of getting a girl in every possible way, including Looksxmax, even in a generally patriarchal society. Further, this forms the appropriate culture, the appropriate trend for looksmax.
I guess thats why there is such huge trend on looksmax in India. Even local indian students in my middle-sized city in Russia, not some fancy Moscow, even they regularly go to the gym (for looksmax purposes), i guess also dispropotionally to general population (despite their alienation from public life in general).
