Why is dating so difficult?

It's been about a year since I took someone out and I haven't really been in the loop since. My matches don't really go nowhere, and I find it hard to get into an LTR. Is it just me, or is the dating scene bad rn? This is how I look for reference:

Sub 10% is actually very lean and extremely rare. Everybody tends to underestimate their body fat.

Anyway I think your face isn’t too bad (although idk about the facial hair tbh) but yeah the dating scene is just absolutely brutal for men nowadays, especially if you’re using apps.

I dont think your looks are that good but they are enough to find a girl. Dating is hard if you have no social connections/environments and you arent NT
