That's what i thought but then again they also hold 6ft to a high standard there. its the equivalent of making somebody 6ft instead of 6'2 most women prefer the latter

Because pretty-boy twink frames can look off when tall in certain art styles. Also, the main character might need to be relatable to the audience to some extent, like in the case of Onizuka, and height is a character design trait that could disrupt that.
