I dunno man, they are dumbasses but I guess when eveybody you know who has made it has only made it via sports or entertainment it seems like the only way to make it. Africans tend to force their kids into becoming doctors so it seems like a Western/USA thing

It’s cultural, blacks see the success of these rappers who were in a similar situation as them, and think it is the only way to get out of the hood and live a happy life. This is due to lack of good father figures and education. They have no direction or way out, and they see these mega rappers who have girls, money, and fame and think they have to do this to succeed.

The black community was so much more than the ratchet abomination it is now. In the 1900s, it was probably even more cultural and intellectual than the white community at the time thanks to the influence of booker T Washington, Frederick Douglass, etc. it is a shame on what happened to it
