why is everyone so miserable about dating nowadays

I had a long weekend out with some friends went downtown , met alot of girls and guys and one thing i noticed is alot of people are depressed and miserable

Girls complaining about guys , guys complaining about girls, nobody wants to date anymore and people are just checking out all together
