Because money is all that matters and making money is impossible
In his late twenties, he came to the realization that those pursuits held little significance in attaining enduring financial stability and success. So slaying and wasting your youth don’t mean jack shit for your future when you make 30k a year on a shit job for your d whole life.

Correct me if I am wrong @forevergymcelling
Good. I'm happy. I studymaxxed and sacrificed a life of fuckery to get where I am. Not rich but financially independent. No bitches :feelscry:

@forevergymcelling
You must be dumb as shit to be HTN+ and still be a poorcel.

Sounds like you fell for some pretty normie shit about how uni was going to land you a good job. Can't be bother e to read your essays/life story but go into public sector like NHS, education or transport. They get paid decent and still complain about their wages JFL

Yes, purchasing power is particularly bad right now but might get better if inflation relaxes. We are going through a tough and acute macro-economic period that will hopefully be resolved over the next 1-3 years and bring down the day-to-day cost of living.

And I also agree that it is significantly more difficult to buy a house than it was 30+ years ago. I put it down to globalization in part. You have rich foreigners buying up real estate as investment assets in attractive first world countries driving up the cost of housing for locals. Some of these building are empty. But hey this is the same globalization that gives you an iPhone and Laptop at a fraction of the cost of what it would be without globalization. Population growth and urbanization too (and a few other factors) have caused this rise in housing prices.

However, real wages (adjusted for inflation) have increased since the 80s and your quality of life today is exponentially better now than it was then (in part due to technological innovation driving the cost of many things down) Our generation complains while they have laptops, iphones, access to netflix, uber, deliveroo, cheap travel, 5G, better healthcare, social media... Give me a break. So fucking entitled.

And I don't see how it's unfair that you would have to work and save money in order to buy a house. That's life. You want a nice big house to live in you have to earn it. Again, people think they are just owed these things. You are not. To build a house you need an architect, raw materials, workers, a plumber, electricians working their ass off. It's hard work. You need to earn it.

I do agree wages in the UK are shit. But in order to earn a 100k wage you need to get work experience and build your skill-set. That's how careers work. You can't just get it out of the gate as an entry level salary.
UK is fucking dead. Inflation higher in UK than in Russia JFL. Inflation going down doesn't reduce prices just slows pace of increase - people still have price nostalgia and it's not just limited to Freddo bars anymore. UK should be kicked out of G7, lose its UN security council seat - and as far as I'm concerned if someone nuked the country I could care less.

Who gives af about technology? Streaming 4k pirn scenes of Riley Reid on 50 inch TVs with Wi-Fi connection means jack shit. Most boomers could afford the latest technologies of their time too. I would've happily jacked off to page 3 models in magazines if I knew I would be rich, with kids and no stress in later life. These technologies are cope.

Nobodies saying you shouldn't have to work for a home, but average earnings to house price ratio is at a retarded levels. Anyway I can't complain I bagged myself a property at 30% deposit within 40 mins to central London at historic low interest rates. :feelsyay:

Yes the UK have fucked themselves with some really stupid policy moves (Brexit for example, but also their energy management). And yes I know how inflation works. If it can slow down to 2% that can restore a lot of confidence and predictability, and wage growth can catch up.

Who gives af about technology? Ok, stop using 5G, stop using your cellphone, stop travelling in planes, refuse modern medicine, throw your laptop out etc. Don't use anything invented since the 19th century bro... Of course technology makes a difference. It's not just Riley Reid porn we're talking about... And technological innovation is what is driving growth in tertiary sector jobs that give you these nice fat wages that allow you to be rich. So yeah.

Yes housing prices are problematic. But don't be fooled people back in the day also needed to wage-slave and save money to buy houses. They weren't living lavish lifestyles. You can do the same in our day and age with a white collar job (or even a trade job). The plumber in the 80s wasn't traveling the world in a PJ taking selfies.

A lot of good policies would have to be taken to fix the housing crisis. Limit foreign investment, build more, eliminate corrupt zoning laws that prevent multi-family houses from being built to protect local prices. Problem is people vote for retarded populists so. Anyone who wants to give people a healthy dose of reality (Like the guy in my PFP) gets called a despot.

2% is faggot cope orthodoxy central bankers think they're going to return to. Niggas keep peddling 'transitory inflation' rhetoric.

We will probably see inflation akin to 1970s which it will yo-yo about won't overcome without plunging economy into recession. That's exactly what the Fed did in the US back in the 1970s in order to "save" it. Many western govt think they can avoid both inflation and recession JFL.

All western nations are fucked UK is particularly fucked. BRICs and other emerging market are asendency and it's just the beginning. Political and economic multipolarity awaits - US and Western nations won't go down without a fight ofc.

I need to leave shithole UK asap.

My point is technology is always improving, should be accessible and affordable. I'm not talking about the macro picture but what it means to individuals. Any strong economy has a middle class at the backbone of the economy doesn't glorify the rich as pioneers of 'muh technology' and 'muh innovation'.

Your logic will tell people a hundred years ago they should 'be happy you can drink clean water from your tap' - we aren't sub Saharan African children.

What are you talking about? Average house to wage ratio is all time high I think it's like 8.5x and in London 13x. Most young people have given up the idea they would be able to afford their own home and will be renting rest of their life (if they can't get one as a 60 year old once their parents die). How is someone who earns like 30k ever able to afford a house that is worth 550k (average in London) - bearing in mind he probably saves like £200 every month (at best). If he saved every penny would take almost 23 just for a 10% deposit (assuming prices don't go higher in 22 years lol)

If you factor in local geographies it's not too bad in places up north where Taxi drivers can get 4 bed houses.

It's not so much the money. It's the money/time combo

I could easily devote my life to some 'career' and make thousands every month, but then I don't have any time.

Right now I'm living off of my youtube income, but it's not enough. If I could make 2-3k monthly on youtube, I would never complain about money again
What YouTube content do you make?

Nah they have nothing to do with each other. I just came to the realisation that wagecucking is a scam, entrepreneurship is a scam, an 'honest living' is a scam

How am I going to devote years, or even decades of my life, pursing some boring ass career when some average bitch on onlyfans makes my yearly salary in one month posting bikini pics

People in Africa make $10 a month working 80 hour weeks. 95% of the world lives in less than $1 a day.

You are privileged to live in the west where with very little effort your life can mog a king born 400 years ago.

-They will return to 2% that is the central bank's mandate. But yes that might cause a recession or big slowdown in growth. Let's see how they walk the tight rope. The central banks will never accept high inflation and will do anything it takes to keep it stable so I have confidence inflation will be tamed but there will be in pain in the short term.

-BRICs and other countries emerging can be a good thing and isn't necessarily a threat to Europe and America's prosperities since they can be trading partners and markets. And TBH the BRICs are also going through some shit man it's not all rosy in Russia, China, Brazil etc.'s economies right now. Russia and China's leaders are ruining their economies and alienating the world (China is trying to reverse course on this now but they fucked up with lockdown, diplomatic alienation, and have credit risk in Africa) Saudi Arabia alienating the West might back-fire. Brazil is going through some shit and so is Argentina, South Africa etc. No clear prognosis for how and if multi-polarity will occur. The increase in total GDP contribution from the BRICs is simply a result of them industrializing out of their poverty.

-Technology is always improving and it's increasing everyone's quality of life. Shouldn't be taken for granted. Yes being able to drink clean water from a tap is huge btw. Innovation is the product of good incentives and capitalism to a certain degree. I do agree capitalism needs to be regulated to prevent the gutting of a middle class. A complicated topic.

- Yes London is a global hub of course it's expensive. People need realistic expectations. Go live in the suburbs. Of course as populations and prosperities grow not everyone can have a house in Chelsea... Like you said a taxi driver can get a 4 bed house elsewhere.

Had to reread the first two posts.

Fuark. Could look into being a GTA Hitman.

Also along with the part involving business and selling products. If any authority is reading me, buy my art.

Don't forget @AlexAP is also doomer too. And accepts his reality for what it is. If you're gonna go doom, go funeral, industrial or psychedelic at the least.
