Why is giving someone flowers seen as weird or shocking now?

Usually it'll be videos or posts about a guy giving a girl flowers, or most saying they have never received any from a guy in their entire life, and say something like " He's a cuck nice guy " or some bs

what is up with that, I think its romantic or even nice as a gift if you really love someone

or sometimes they say that they'll get cheated on for doing something like that
