Sometimes legitimately some complete computer prodigy who can reverse engineer the Windows kernel decides to rape some fortune 500 company
But when these big companies get hacked, 9/10 it's because of complete retardation or becky at the front desk clicking on the wrong email, with a virus attached that's been open source since 2017

The smart options would be:
Take the risk, Trust this guy [cheaper]
Don't trust them, air gap your systems, hire a professional cyber-sec company to fix all the vulnerabilities that would be there [more expensive]
