Why is it hard to breathe air in cold weather? What can you do to breathe?

I have been having breathing issues cuz of 4 degree temperature and dry air i think is reason, not sure.

What causes air to be harder to breathe?

I have found some solution which worked for me.

Humidifier and breathe the air, staying in warm shower water and breathe, putting cottonswab in nose and opening it up to, what else?

Mouthbreathing sucks so bad i wanna be able to nose breathe in such condition.

Other ppl can breathe, only i cant. I like cold weather because animals hibernate n no insects. I would prefer summer tho if they did the same.
