Like what she's doing or feeling.

I can't state this
Well, in my country when you do small talk with other people, it's normal to ask them about their family - their parents, brothers, sisters, etc., to find out what and how they are doing, in some countries however this is apparently very insulting, like in the Muslim countries - if you ask someone about his mother or sisters, this is seen as a very big offense, those people are very protective about their females, and they will think you want to do nasty things to them if you ask about them, but I didn't expect Americans to have the same attitude if you ask about their mothers.

Didn't know that

It's weird to randomly bring up someone else's mom tbh.
