Why is it seen as negative to peak in highschool

This has to be some of the best propaganda ever. People who have no friends and aren't popular live to label people superior to them as "peaked in highschool" to make themselves feel better. Why wouldn't you want to peak in highschool, it's the biggest opportunity to socialise and make connections plus for most people highschool is when they're in their biological prime so it's only natural to peak then.

i think the peak people refer to in HS is typically appearance/status, why would you want to have good status only while being -16 and the rest of your life being worse, its a worse ROI since its literally just less time in your peak.

Plus isnt your prime like 18-33ish

Peak implies that it goes down after that. If someone is able to carry it forward, and maintain the status, no one would think that to be a bad thing. However, there are many people who "peak" in high-school, and go down after that.
